EV Charging Rebates May Be Available

Eligible strata, workplace and fleet projects may qualify for support with planning, electrical infrastructure and eligible charging work. Available programs vary by project type and electrical utility, and pre-approval may be required before work begins.

A Charging Plan People Can Support

Choosing a charger is only one part of the project. You also need to know what the building can support, how charging costs will be handled and how the system can expand as demand grows.

For workplaces and fleets, charging also needs to fit how vehicles are used without disrupting operations or creating expensive rework later.

  • Clarity Before a Major Commitment

Understand the existing electrical conditions, likely project path and key decisions before approving equipment or construction.

  • A Fair Practical Approach

Consider who will use the chargers, how access and electricity costs may be managed and what information decision-makers need.

  • Infrastructure That Can Grow

Plan the electrical pathway with future stalls, vehicles and charging demand in mind instead of treating every request as an isolated installation.

  • Minimal Disruption to the Property

Coordinate access, shutdowns, parking impacts, permits and installation work around the building or business.

Start With the Building Not the Charger

A charger only works as well as the electrical system and operating plan behind it. Before equipment is selected, the site should be considered as a whole.

  1. Electrical Capacity

Review the available supply, existing demand, panels and distribution in relation to the proposed charging load.

  2. Number of Stalls or Vehicles

Separate today's immediate need from the number of residents, employees or fleet vehicles that may need charging later.

  3. Load Management

Determine whether managed charging could allow multiple chargers to share available capacity and reduce or defer larger electrical upgrades.

  4. Cable Routes and Parking Conditions

Consider distance, concrete, fire separations, underground parking conditions, protection from vehicles and where equipment can be placed cleanly.

  5. Metering Billing and Access

Identify who can use the chargers and how electricity consumption, user fees or network services may be administered by the property.

  6. Approvals Permits and Project Timing

Clarify the information needed by the strata, owner, property manager, utility, inspector or project team before work begins.

Strata and Multi-Unit EV Charging

Move From Individual Requests to a Building-Wide Direction

A strata may be responding to one resident today while trying to avoid a patchwork of incompatible installations tomorrow. The goal is to choose a path that addresses the immediate request and protects the building's ability to add more charging over time.

Individual or Standalone Charger

For a specific parking stall, we can assess the proposed route, electrical source, capacity considerations and installation requirements. Strata approval and any required planning or documentation should be confirmed before equipment is purchased.

EV Ready Planning and Infrastructure

For a broader rollout, the project may begin with an EV Ready plan or other required electrical planning. The resulting direction can identify infrastructure, load management, connection points, charger requirements and a phased approach for future installations.

Shared Charging

A shared charging area may suit properties that want access without immediately wiring individual stalls. Usage, parking rules, payment or billing administration and future demand should be considered before selecting equipment.

Information for Council and Owners

Clear scope, budget assumptions, phasing, parking impacts and responsibility for future chargers help a council present a more understandable proposal and make a better-informed decision.

Phased Expansion
Install the immediate requirement while considering distribution, conduit, load management and space for future chargers where practical.

The Electrical Work Behind Reliable EV Charging

The final scope depends on the property, charger type, number of vehicles and available electrical capacity. We can complete and coordinate the applicable electrical work.

Charging Built Around How Your Vehicles Are Actually Used

Workplace and fleet charging should match the time vehicles remain parked, the power they need, who will use the stations and how the site may expand. A practical design can help avoid paying for unnecessary charging speed or installing equipment that becomes a constraint later.

  • Site and Capacity Assessment

Review available information and site conditions in relation to the proposed charging requirement.

  • Distribution and Circuit Work

Install the required panels, breakers, disconnects, circuits and related distribution within the approved scope.

  • Load Management Equipment

Install compatible energy-management equipment when it forms part of the approved charging design.

  • Conduit Cabling and Protection

Route wiring through parkades and commercial properties with attention to clean installation, physical protection and future access.

  • Charger Installation and Commissioning

Mount, connect and electrically commission approved equipment according to the project requirements and manufacturer instructions.

  • Permits and Electrical Inspection

Obtain required electrical permits for applicable work and coordinate the electrical inspection process.

Conduit, cabling and equipment are routed and installed neatly so the finished work looks intentional and remains serviceable.

  • Clear Project Ownership

Our team provides clear communication, defined responsibilities and accountable project ownership throughout the approved work.

  • Clear Electrical Scope

Site conditions, electrical work, assumptions and responsibilities are documented so decision-makers can understand what is included.

  • Permits and Coordination

Required electrical permits and inspections are coordinated for applicable work, with other project parties involved where needed.

A Clear Path From Charging Need to Installation

  1. 01

Tell us about the property. Share the address, property type, number of stalls or vehicles, existing plans or reports and what you want charging to accomplish.

  2. 02

Review the site and electrical requirements. We review the proposed use, available information, cable routes, equipment location and electrical conditions.

  3. 03

Define the right project path. Confirm whether the immediate need is an individual installation, shared charging, a broader EV Ready project or workplace or fleet charging.

  4. 04

Confirm scope responsibilities and quote. Document the electrical work, equipment assumptions, permits, site coordination and responsibilities of the property and other professionals.

  5. 05
