Make Home Charging the Easy Part of Owning an EV

A home charger should fit naturally into your routine. The right installation gives you dependable overnight charging where you already park, with equipment and electrical work chosen for your home rather than copied from someone else’s setup.

  • Start Each Day Ready

Charge while the vehicle is parked at home instead of planning regular stops around public stations.

  • A Setup That Fits Your Routine

Match charging speed and equipment to daily driving, parking time and the vehicle’s onboard charging capability.

  • Clean Practical Placement

Position the charger and route the wiring with access, appearance, weather exposure and cable reach in mind.

  • The Right Electrical Path

Confirm what the home can support before deciding between a standard circuit, load management or a larger capacity upgrade.

The Best Charger Is the One That Fits the Whole Setup

Charger selection matters, but it is only one part of the project. We look at the vehicle, parking location, electrical panel, available capacity and cable route together before confirming the installation approach.

Your vehicle
Connector compatibility, onboard charging limits and manufacturer requirements.
Your daily driving
Typical range used and how long the vehicle is parked at home.
Your parking location
Indoor or outdoor placement, cable reach, wall space, weather and physical protection.
Your electrical system
Panel, service size, existing loads, breaker space and applicable load calculations.
Future vehicles
Whether a second EV or different vehicle may change the preferred pathway.
Smart features and rebates
Whether an eligible networked charger or power-management device matters.

A Panel Upgrade Is Not Always the First Answer

Some homes can support a Level 2 charger with a new dedicated circuit. Others may benefit from a compatible EV power-management device that controls charging when the home is using more electricity. A panel or service upgrade may be appropriate when capacity, equipment condition, space or future electrical plans support it.

See Available Home EV Rebates →

We will explain the practical options and quote the approved scope before work begins. We will not recommend a larger upgrade solely because a homeowner asks about EV charging.

  1. Use Available Capacity

Where the electrical system can safely support the charger, the scope may be limited to the required circuit, wiring and equipment.

  2. Consider Load Management

A compatible device may help add Level 2 charging without immediately increasing the home’s electrical service.

  3. Upgrade When It Makes Sense

A panel or service upgrade may be recommended where the existing system cannot support the planned load or broader future upgrades justify more capacity.

  4. Plan for What Comes Next

Heat pumps, suites, hot tubs, additional EVs and renovations can affect the best long-term decision.
