An EV Charger Does Not Always Mean a Panel Upgrade

Before recommending equipment, we review the charger you want, where you park and whether your existing panel can support the installation. If it cannot, an eligible power management device may provide another option and may qualify for a separate rebate of up to $200.

Your estimate can include:

  • Review of your panel and the electrical equipment already in your home
  • Charger and installation-location discussion
  • Dedicated circuit and required electrical work
  • Panel or service recommendations only when needed
  • Permit requirements
  • Available rebate considerations

A Home Upgrade and EV Charger Completed Together

A Mission homeowner needed more electrical capacity as well as convenient charging at home. Sazegar Electric upgraded the service from 100 amps to 200 amps and installed an Autel home EV charger during the same two-day project.

The completed work was inspected and approved through Technical Safety BC, giving the home additional electrical capacity and reliable home charging.
